New here! As mentioned above, I have updated the software. Mostly ok, but I have a sporadic issue with the screens locking and not transitioning. The screen registers input (beeps), but won't change to the other screens (like going from home to the settings, climate, entertainment, etc.) Basically, if it's on a certain screen, it won't move to the other screens. I can insert the USB drive that I installed the update from, it'll notify that I already have the update, and to remove USB, but will unlock.. Master resets, deleting phone and re-pairing, battery terminal pull, etc don't fix it. It'll go for a while without doing, then out of the blue... Any help is appreciated.. Replacement APIM is 700 bucks!

Install the SYNC update before removing the USB. It may take up to five mintues for the updates to begin. TIP: Use the USB port at the front of your vehicle. The USB ports in the back of your vehicle are used for charging purposes only. TIP: Look for this icon in the top right of your SYNC interface to see if update is complete. Checking info again, nope its update to 3.10. Ford has the incorrect update screen pic in their download apparently: Had to resetup/connect my phone. Other than that, everything looks normal. Looked around and didn’t notice anything new. Was hoping I could text with my iPhone, nope still not. BTW: it only took 20 minutes to install.
